SKY SPORTS have tonight posted an apology and correction for their poor translation Of Alfredo Morelos’ interview which was recorded Friday last week and tactically released on Monday.
The subtitles of the interview did not match up with what the Ibrox striker actually said with the interpretation incriminating Celtic supporters when Morelos makes no such claim.
Celtic issues a strongly worded statement concerned by the lack of editorial standards at Sky Sports and asked how this was allowed to happen.
Sky Sports say they are now reviewing their procedures and have apologised to Celtic for the interview.
However, what they don’t do is tell us who transcribed the interview and who okayed the language used.
It seems like a bit of a cop out and a bog standard apology.
Celtic were 100% correct to take Sky Sports to task, will they be informed on how this managed to get onto social media and their website without challenge?
