Olivier Ntcham to West Ham – Reports in France

Reports in France this afternoon claim West Ham are in talks to sign Olivier Ntcham before the January deadline on Friday night.

There has been no word over this side of the water from either West Ham or Celtic sources so take everything with a pinch of salt.

FootMercato report the player could make the move before the end of the month.

The large French publication mentions no fee or specifics other than the two sides are in negotiations.

If the Hammers are interested it might be down to the fact David Moyes has been watching Celtic during his time out of the game. The former Celtic defender returned to West Ham a year after being let go by the club.

Ntcham made some noises about moving last summer but since then the player has knuckled down and got on with it.

It would very interesting to see what Celtic do if this is an option for both Oli and the club. The midfielder scored the winning goal for Celtic in Rome to send them through to the last 32 of the Europa League.

Neil Lennon will be in front of cameras before and after the St Johnstone game tonight so if this report is true we should no by the end of the evening.

We’re just wary so many false reports have come out of France in recent times.
