NEIL LENNON was asked his thoughts on their title rivals slipping up on Sunday handing them the advantage in the title race.

The Irishman had guided Celtic to a 3-0 win over Ross County 24 hours prior to The Rangers taking on Hearts in Edinburgh. The Ibrox club were five points adrift but had two games in hand. After taking the lead against the home side, it looked like they would close the gap on Celtic but goals from Stevie Naismith and Liam Boyce gave Hearts a well earned three points.

Not many expected it to happen considering Hearts position in the table but it was a big boost to Celtic.

Asked about the game before Celtic’s game against St Johnstone on Wednesday night the Celtic manager was coy and has been around the block enough times to know there’s no point in any sort of bravado with so many games to go.

“It’s a result that happens.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“Things will twist and turn maybe as we go along.

“We are just concentrating on St Johnstone and looking forward to the game because we have played quite well since the turn of the year.

“I’ve not really detected any change in their emotions over the last couple of days.

“Our focus is on Wednesday.

“We have to concentrate on our own business and keep things nice and calm.”
