The Evening Standard have reported there has been several enquiries for potential Celtic target Victor Wanyama this window but Spurs valuation of the player has seen a stalemate.
The newspaper claim Tottenham are looking to get rid of the midfielder on a permanent deal and value Vic at £9m. With nobody biting the Evening standard claim the club will have to accept a cut price deal for the Kenyan if they want rid of him this month.
Wanyama is in the last 18-months of his deal now and nobody is going to be over the odds. The same report claims Wanyama’s pay packet is £62kpw – a figure Celtic could not match.

Verdict
If Celtic do manage to bring Victor back this window it would likely be a last minute loan deal. Spurs want a permanent move and wouldn’t entertain a loan unless there was no other option. Celtic currently have Fraser Forster back on loan from Southampton and that deal has certainly revived the players career. Could Victor be tempted to follow suit?
Ultimately this would be a short term move and right now Celtic are looking for a defender before Friday. Signing Soro at defensive-mid could mean the club won’t shell out for Wanyama.
