Fabricio Bruno Transfer Takes One Final Twist – Could Celtic be Tempted?

RECORDSPORT have confirmed former Celtic target Fabricio Bruno has been released from his Cruzeiro contract.

The player had been in dispute with the club over unpaid wages and image rights. He then saw a move to Red Bull Bragantino collapse because Red Bull were advised not to take a player who was still in a court dispute with his current employers.

Bruno being released means he’s a free agent and would be free to negotiate a deal with any club he wants.

As RecordSport points out, Celtic were linked with the player since December but it appears they’ve moved. Could his new found status make him a more attractive option for the club.

It still seems like it would be a lot of effort to get the player in and obtain the correct paper work for Bruno to play for the club in the near future.

Celtic made their first January signing this week, bringing in Patryk Klimala on a four and a half year deal. The club seem to be pressing on with other targets.
