Celtic have tonight confirmed Scott Sinclair has left the building with the player moving to Preston North End to join up with former Hamilton and Norwich boss Alex Neil.

There had been speculation in December the player would seek a January exit after falling out of favour under Neil Lennon. The invincible star couldn’t even get into the bench for most games this season.

For Scotty, it’s the chance to play first team football again and Celtic get one of the highest earners off their wage bill.
It’s the first big bit of action from Celtic in this window. There is likely going to be more outs and ins this window but as this move goes, it’s a big deal considering the contributions from Scott over the past three and a half years.
A catalyst for Celtic’s invincible season and even though performances dipped in season two and three his goal scoring stats didn’t.
We wish him all the best at Preston.
