Former Celtic defender and cult hero Efe Ambrose could be coming back to Scotland with RecordSport reporting Livingston are keen on a move for the Nigerian.
Efe left Celtic in 2017 and found a home with Neil Lennon at Hibernian for two years before exercising his right to break his contract before it finished. The defender moved to Frank Lampard’s Derby in the second half of last season but never played a single game before he and Frank both moved on.
The former Celtic title winner and Barca conquerer has been without a club ever since leaving Derby and it’s believed Gary Hot wants to bring the defender back to Scotland in what would be a big coup for the Livingston side.
Livingston are currently sitting in the top half of the table at the winter break and are looking to consolidate their position when they return to action later this month.
Efe has been hailed as a cult hero at Celtic Park back in the day and he split opinion right down the middle.
