Charlie Nicholas has rubbished the latest Ibrox chat saying Alfredo Morelos is worth £40m after outgoing Dave King said they wouldn’t take that amount in January for him.
The Sky Sports man took exception to the comment and declared if Morelos is worth £40′ then Edouard is easily worth 50.
“Dave King has said he wouldn’t sell him for £40m in January.” Nicholas told the Express as cited by SunSport.
“Well, if Morelos is worth that then Celtic must be thinking Odsonne Edouard is worth £50m.”
There’s a constant need to compare the two players in Scotland.
Morelos has kicked on a year this term and is certainly their biggest asset. Unfounded claims of £40m stem from what Celtic are getting for players. With all due respect, Celtic have sold better players than Morelos for less – these players who actually contributed to winning league titles on a regular basis.
It’s the hyperbole world of Scottish football where for some reason the media are trying to help the Ibrox club set a price.
