Former Celt and Teammates Donate Wages to Charity After Historic Result

If you were paying attention to football over the weekend you would’ve at least heard about the absolute mauling Southampton got at the hands of Leicester on Friday night.

Brendan Rodgers’ side turned up to St Mary’s and absolutely humiliated the home side in one of the most one sided games you’re ever likely to see. The game finished 9-0 and went into the history books as the biggest defeat suffered by a home side since 1995 in the Premier League.

The former Celtic manager will be thrilled with his team but there’s another former bhoy feeling the heat after the result and that’s Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong.

Both worked together at Celtic but there nights couldn’t have been anymore different.

Stuart came on as a second half substitute when the game was already gone and there was nothing really he could do to save the evening.

Since the result, it has emerged on Monday morning that Stuart Armstrong along with the whole Southampton squad will be donating their weeks wages to charity after the demoralising defeat.
