Bring Him Home – Celtic Should Look at Cut Price Deal for £7m Bhoy

CELTIC will be making provisions for January already under Nicky Hammond and while the Wanyama talk seems to be pie in the sky there’s an argument for one man coming back to the club – Stuart Armstrong.

The midfielder is now 27 and coming into his peak footballing years yet he is struggling for game time with Southampton. The Scottish international moved two seasons ago to try his hand at the Premier League but it’s not gone to plan so far.

Armstrong stats make for very poor reading on the Southampton Website.

65 minutes of club football this season for the midfielder is a shocker and should make the player rethink his future at the club. Being in late October and only having made 24 passes for the season is abysmal.

Many supporters are of the opinion once a player leaves he shouldn’t be welcomed back but with Fraser Forster currently in goals for the club, their argument does not stand.

Armstrong was stale in his final season for the bhoys but could have a new lease of life after a return – could the bhoys get him for a cut-price and lower than the £7.16m (TransferMarkt) they paid for him.
