After Neil Lennon confirmed Mikey Johnston was a doubt for Cluj the Celtic manager was quick to let everyone know he’s ready to put Elyounoussi in from the start at Celtic Park on Thursday night.
Mikey has been injured since limping off at Ibrox during Celtic’s 2-0 victory and the on-loan Southampton man has got some meaningful game time in his absence.
With Celtic looking to beat Cluj on the night and sit with four points from two games they need big players to come to the forefront.
Neil Lennon believes the £16m man (TransferMarkt) can be that man and can give Celtic something different on the night.
Asked if he would likely be starting the match Neil Lennon told Celtic TV.
“He will definitely come into contention, he’s got a good European pedigree.”
“He’s really up to speed now, in terms of his fitness and he’s looked good in training as well.”
Cluj are already in town after flying into Glasgow late on Tuesday evening. The Romanian’s are out to cause another upset in Glasgow just over a month apart. It’s up to Celtic to stop them.
