Neil Lennon has confirmed Craig Gordon will get his chance to stake his claim as Celtic’s number one with the goalkeeper getting the nod for the Partick Thistle game on Wednesday evening. Fraser Forster has been number one since coming back to the club this summer with Gordon’s last appearance being against AIK in the Europa League play-off round.

The Celtic manager also confirms Leigh Griffiths is still our injured while Moritz Bauer has not made it in time to be fit for the cup tie after limping off against Kilmarnock at the weekend.

Hatem Elhamed likely time come straight back into the side for the visit of Partick Thistle.

We’re unsure how many changes the Celtic manager will decide to go with but with Leigh being out another Bayo start could be on the cards if he wants to give Edouard some respite before Saturday’s early kick off against Hibs.
