Celtic Made Deadline Day Enquiry for Premier League Winger – Reports

Celtic were linked with a move for Jordan Ibe this summer with the winger looking to go out and get some game time instead of sitting at the bench at Bournemouth.

The midfielder was on the record as saying the rumours to Celtic were just ‘rumours’ a few weeks back.

However, according to Football Insider, the club made a failed attempt on deadline day to get Ibe in on loan for the season.

The website who claims they have sources at Celtic Park say the club tried in vain to bring the midfielder in but we’re not so sure.

The report goes that Eddie Howe and Bournemouth didn’t want to part with Ibe just in case they suffer an injury crisis at any point in the season.

Celtic did some great business over the transfer window but we’re top-heavy on wingers so we question why the club would push for this with Ibe likely to be on a Premier League wage.
