Jordan Jones in Celtic Apology

BBC Scotland have reported that Jordan Jones has made a personal apology to Moritz Bauer after the midfielder went out to hurt him at Ibrox on Sunday and ended up hurting himself.

The player lost the plot at 2-0 and decided to act the hardman, diving in on the new Celtic star who was lucky to walk away from the tackle unharmed.

Jones, however, got a red card for his troubles and limped up the tunnel after hurting himself in the incident.

The player could be out for a month or more because of his stupidity.

However, BBC report his old Killie teammate Gary Dickers has mentioned the Ibrox midfielder has apologised to Bauer.

Dickers said: “Hopefully it won’t be as serious as he thinks it is. He spoke the right-back at Celtic and apologised.”

“I spoke to him today to see how he was,” the Irish midfielder added to BBC Scotland. “It can be a lonely place. He was pretty down, which is natural.

“It’s frustration. I don’t think he was doing it to get a round of applause or hurt someone. It can mess with your emotions, it’s a big occasion, but he’ll learn from it.”
