After a summer of speculation and talk of court action over the contract of Liam Morrison – the German club have today announced the transfer of one of Celtic’s biggest defensive prospects.

The club were doing all they could to try and convince the player to stay but the chance to go and train with Bayern’s academy was too big an offer to pass up for the youngster.

Liam played in Celtic’s pre-season with Neil Lennon including him in the first team squad but it wasn’t enough to keep him at the club.

The Celtic academy had a big clear out this summer with new faces coming in. It will now be up to the Celtic coaches to help develop the players who are there.

For Liam, it’s a chance to get out of Scotland and make a name for himself in the Bundesliga.
