Celtic Make it Clear Kieran Wanted to Leave

CELTIC have today confirmed the transfer of Kieran Tierney to Arsenal for a record breaking free. With the London club announcing the deal, Celtic hit out with their own statement on the transfer.

The club made it clear Kieran wanted to pursue this deal and once they knew he wanted to leave they went about trying to get the best deal possible.

Celtic note that they didn’t want or need to do a deal.

Now Celtic have a record fee for a player who came through the ranks at the club what exactly will they do with it?

Presumably, if they didn’t need to accept an offer for the player this money should be earmarked to boost the squad in a big way.

We will see what transpires over the next three weeks but as it stands Celtic have lost an entire first team defence this summer – Kieran Tierney, Benkovic, Boyata and Lustig.
