Scott Brown Responds to Disrespectful Ibrox Comments

SCOTT BROWN has no time for trash talk as he gets ready for the new season. The media were licking their lips as they got set to ask what the Celtic captain thought of new Ibrox player Ojo’s comments.

The loan player claimed The Rangers have the best team in the league and he’s out to take Celtic’s title. Spoken like a man who knows nothing about Scottish football.

Instead of being embroiled in a war of words in public, Brown opted to take the high road.

“We do our talking on the park.” Brown told Celtic TV.

“I look at our squad and try not to worry about everyone else’s.

“It’s about who is in this dressing room and how we turn up.

“We will be pushed very hard again, but we have the players and a manager who has belief in us. There’s still a lot more to come from us.”

Celtic will open their league season against St Johnstone in Saturday as the bhoys get set to unfurl the league flag for the eighth consecutive time. It’s not too bad considering we’re only the second best team in the country.

Neil Lennon and Celtic head to Ibrox at the start of September for the first Glasgow Derby of the season.

The bhoys will hope to stamp their authority down on the league as early as possible.

Scott Brown has no desire to relent in his quest to get to nine and ten in a row.
