He’s Celtic’s unofficial Champions League mascot at this point and Ilir Meta, the President of Albania doesn’t care who knows it.
Since bumping into Celtic fans on their away day to Sarajevo the politician has been keeping a close eye on the Scottish Champions and wearing his Celtic jersey proudly which was given to him by a former Celt Rudi Vata.
It looks like he’s invested in some more Celtic gear since his chance meeting with supporters and happily posed with a training top as he congratulated Neil Lennon’s side on another victory.
Another success for @CelticFC going through the next round @ChampionsLeague. With 7 goals scored in the last 2 matches @CelticFC proves an excellent form, a guarantee for awaited next victories with @CFR_1907_Cluj. Celtic are halfway through qualifiers now and they are up against Cluj for a place in the playoff place. The club also kick off their domestic campaign this week where they’re going for nine in a row, a record set by Jock Stein’s Celtic.
I wonder if Meta will use his powers to make a diplomatic visit to Glasgow to watch the bhoys in green.
