A Scottish journalist has made the claim reported Celtic target Jose Cifuentes is ‘very interested’ in a move to Celtic even though Manchester City are hovering for the player’s signature.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder is keen to make the move from Ecuador to Europe this summer, and Celtic have again been linked with the player.
Manchester City seem to want to bring him in so they can loan him out immediately much like they did with Daniel Arzani to Celtic.
However, Jose might feel going to a club who want him permanently and can help him develop is the way forward. At City, you’re just another number in the system, and Neil Lennon can personally point to bringing in guys like Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk to Celtic who then move onto more lucrative opportunities.
