Former Celt Opens Door For Parkhead Return Under Lennon

NEIL LENNON is set to become the next full time Celtic manager in the coming days with the club in talks with the Irishman over wages and budgets etc.

One thing we learned on Wednesday was Neil has stressed the importance of getting the right people around him in the coming weeks with regards to his backroom staff. As interim boss, the former Hibs manager had John Kennedy and Damien Duff alongside him in the dugout. However, now he has the permanent gig her will be able to bring in some of his own men and while Garry Parker seems like a cert to rejoin the club, is there another man set to join Neil for another Parkhead stint?

OpenGoal Sport spoke to Johan Mjallby last month before anything had been decided as the Swede spoke about his career and his time at Celtic.

Asked if he would ever return to the setup if Neil Lennon got the job he quickly and emphatically replied.

“Oh most definitely, yes,” Johan told Simon Ferry.

Johan was part of Neil Lennon’s first run as Celtic boss and helped the Irishman immensely. They went separate ways after the Bolton debacle with Johan heading back to Sweden while Neil headed for Scotland to manage Hibernian.
