CELTIC are in the hunt for a new manager and depending on who you listen to the answer to who will be the next full-time Parkhead boss will likely be different.
Rafa Benitez has always been a very outside shot for the club and Celtic fans have watched on with interest as talks over his future have taken place with Newcastle.
Last week they met for face to face talks with no resolution between Newcastle and the Spaniard and now according to the Chronicles any talks which are happening now are being done so ‘remotely’.
Meaning Rafa has relegated talks with the St James’ Park club to phone calls at this point according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
While that doesn’t affect Celtic directly at this point it’s worth noting that’s over a week of negotiations with no resolution. The same Chronicle report says Marseille are looking at bringing in Rafa this summer. If the former Liverpool boss does leave Newcastle he won’t be short of some big offers!
