BRENDAN RODGERS has told Leicester fans he’s made a really good appointment for the club by taking Lee Congerton from Celtic to Leicester.

The Irishman seems to have a blind spot for the chief scout who absolutely hampered the recruitment at Celtic with inept decision making and inexplicable signings.

Even though Lee did not do anything at Celtic to warrant a move to the Premier League he finds himself in a top position with Leicester.

Celtic fans were delighted when the news broke on Saturday that Congerton had left the club – much like Sunderland fans were when he left Wearside a few years back.

This is going to be a lesson Leicester fans have to learn the hard way as Celtic and Sunderland did.

Brendan Rodgers has praised Lee and any Celtic fan reading his comments will be baffled by them.

“I know Lee from my time at Chelsea and he’s always produced very good players.” he told RecordSport.

“He knows what the club expect here, what they want, and I think it will be a really good appointment for the club.”

Celtic are now looking for a new head of recruitment but it seems like John Park won’t be making a Parkhead return.
