Neil Lennon Makes Trip to France to Scout Striker – reports

REPORTS today claim Celtic are in the market for a striker with Oli Burke and Timo Weah heading back to their clubs at the end of this season.

Burke will head back to West Brom and Timo will head back to PSG after their short loan stint in Paradise. This leaves holes up top and according to SunSport, even though Neil Lennon isn’t secure in his own future yet, he is helping the club recruit for next season.

The interim Celtic boss was in Paris on Monday night and he reportedly took a game in between Paris FC and Valenciennes which ended in a 0-0 draw.

The supposed purpose of the trip was to take a look at Silas Wamangituka – a young striker who is currently playing his first professional season in France.

Silas, 19, has scored nine goals in 27 games for Paris FC this season and has been attracting interests from several clubs.

The Congo-born star is likely to move this summer if the deal is right and Celtic may just be one of his options.
