Brendan Rodgers Confirms Medical Team’s Early Izaguirre Diagnosis

BRENDAN RODGERS has been told by the medical staff they ‘think’ Izaguirre has gotten away with a serious injury after a horrendous challenge during the club’s 2-0 win over Hibernian.

The Honduran was stretchered off for the bhoys late on and there were audible gasps in the stadium as the player went down.

The sight of another Celtic star heading off in a stretcher is the last thing anybody at Celtic Park wanted to see with the Parkhead physio room already bulging with crocked stars.

We’ll find out in the coming days if the left-back will be fit enough to play against St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic already have Kieran Tierney our and the bhoys would either have to ply Jonny Hayes in that position or move Toljan to the left with Lustig coming back into right back.

Hopefully, the medical staff are correct and there will be no need for anything drastic.
