First Celtic Transfer of the Day Confirmed – No First Option Clause

CELTIC and Sunderland have confirmed Lewis Morgan has gone out on loan to the League one side where the player will link up with his former St Mirren boss Jack Ross.

The midfielder came into the club this summer after the club initially signed Lewis and loaned him back to the buddies.

Morgan will now look to get some meaningful game time as he tries to help Sunderland gain promotion to the Championship.

For Sunderland fans out there wondering if there will be any clause in the deal for the winger to stay beyond the summer, there will 100% not be an option. Celtic hold the player in high regard and he will likely get a chance to make his mark after the summer.

In the meantime, Lewis can gain some very valuable experience if he can breakthrough into the Sunderland side.

We wish the midfielder all the best at the Stadium of light.
