UEFA’s Official Europa league social media page has posted a video of new Celtic signing Timothy Weah with the tagline ‘Coming soon to the Uefa Europa League’.

The page acknowledged the transfer between the two clubs and seemed excited at the prospect of Weah playing in the competition – warning Valencia just what the bhoy can do.

The striker has joined the Scottish Champions on a six-month loan deal and has got straight to work on the training ground after completing the move.

If Weah can hit the ground running, it’s entirely possible the American will play some part in Celtic’s tough doubleheader against Valencia in February.

The Bhoys were drawn against the Spanish side in December after coming second in their group.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to get even more recruits in before then to strengthen the club’s chances of an upset in the last 32.

It’s no secret the bhoys have been chasing a new right-back for some time and will be hoping to get a deal done in the coming weeks.
