BRENDAN RODGERS has found himself in a difficult situation with one of his top star’s Tom Rogic.
The player is due to take part in the Asia Cup with his country next month, the only problem is, the camp starts on December 27th and Celtic have a date at Ibrox on the 29th.
This leaves Rogic OUT of the Ibrox tie unless Celtic can broker a deal with the Australian FA.
Socceroos boss Graham Arnold has spoke about ‘no exceptions’ with regards to heading to the training camp but Rodgers remains hopeful and declares Rogic wants to play at Ibrox.
🗣️ BR on @Tom_Rogic's Asian Cup call-up: "Tom wants to play in the game on the 29th, but he also wants to play for Australia. It's a position the player doesn't need to be in. We hope we can find a solution."

The Australian is an important player for the bhoys, especially on derby day and to not be able to call upon his services would be a major blow to Rodgers’ plans.
Surely a compromise can be met, especially when you consider the competition doesn’t kick off until January 5th and Australia’s first game isn’t until Jan 6th.
