Neil Lennon Admits He’s ‘Annoyed’ After Hibernian Beat Celtic

Neil Lennon seemed a bit upset and admitted he was annoyed after Hibernian’s win against Celtic on Sunday.

The former Celtic manager was full of praise for his players who did not give Celtic a chance on the day.

They worked hard, scored two very tidy finishes and even shut out the Scottish Champions.

While Lennon admits that’s cause for celebration, he is also annoyed his team have not shown that type of fight in previous games this season and branded their performance against Kilmarnock just two weeks ago as ‘pathetic’.

The Irishman is a hard man to please and he knows a win over his old side is very significant but you have seen it over the years.

When Celtic come to town, average or apathetic players will up their game, their intensity for that game before settling back down into their old habits.

Case and point, Kamberi had not scored a goal since playing Celtic earlier this season.

Speaking about Neil hopes Hibernian have turned a corner.

“It’s a remarkable performance under the circumstances considering the omissions we had from the squad.

“I’m proud and delighted – but I’m also annoyed because two weeks ago against Kilmarnock we were pathetic and now we’ve put together two back-to-back wins playing well.”
