Forgotten Celt Makes Surprise Move Into Politics

FORGOTTEN CELT Logan Bailly looks like he’s set to try his hand in politics after it emerged the former Parkhead stopper has been enrolled as a candidate for local council elections in Belgium.

The backup goalkeeper who spent two years at Celtic making just five appearances moved back home to Belgium after his Celtic deal came to an end.

Bailey, 32, signed for Mouscron where he held the first team position until lately.

According to The Scotsman the goalkeeper has joined centre-right Mouvement Reformateur who have since put him forward to run for the council position.

Bailly has been in the press lately for non-footballing reasons when he decided to call time on his relationship with former Gers Chief Gordon Smith’s daughter.

The Belgian was accused of abandoning Libby Smith after the birth of their son.

It’s safe to say that he won’t be remembered around here for his goalkeeping acumen.
