BRENDAN RODGERS summed up his side’s performance today as ‘not very good’ even though they ran out 3-1 winners.
The Irishman has made it clear he expects better from his team if they are to defend all their titles domestically this season.
“In terms of performance, I thought the performance was poor. So many things weren’t good in our game, mostly our pressing and intensity” said Rodgers.
“We were far too passive in our pressing, it gave them an opportunity in the game.”
Celtic lost a goal with fifteen minutes to go, which ultimately made them step up their game at Firhill.
Two goals coming from Dembele and Rogic made sure Celtic made the quarterfinals.
It’s now off to Lithuania for the bhoys Europa Play-off with Suduva.
