One big surprise from Celtic’s first pre-season friendly was the inclusion of Scott Allan, not only to the squad but getting some real game time in Celtic’s win.
The midfielder has had no proper run in the side under Ronny Deila or Brendan Rodgers and has been shipped out on-loan often during his time at the club.
Allan found a home returning to Hibernian last season and spoke about a permanent deal with the Easter Road side in the latter part of last season’s campaign.
However, nothing has materialised and now he is getting a chance to show what he can do.
The midfielder played very well in Celtic’s victory and could he be set for a reprieve under Rodgers. These Celtic fans hope so.
