Maybe there’s something lost in translation but Aleshkert FC put out a Celtic fact file for their fans to read ahead of the Euro qualifier next month.
In the fact file it gives a bit of history on the club, however, when it gets down to the fans it goes a little off script.
The website wrote: “Throughout Europe, Celtic is known for its foolish fans, who simply provide incredible support to their beloved team.”
Alashkert website has already caused confusion this week by switching the dates of the home tie in Armenia.
Celtic were forced to reconfirm the dates of the ties because someone at Alashkert wasn’t sure about the whole thing.
One of our clever twitter followers spoke with his Armenian mate and we are assured the club meant – ‘Fun Loving’ in the non-google translated version. That settles that!
