Virgil van Dijk Makes Surprising Celtic Transfer Revelation

VIRGIL VAN DIJK has made a very surprising revelation about his current teammate Andy Robertson during his time at Celtic Park.

The worlds most expensive defender revealed he already had a very high opinion of his defensive partner back in their Scottish football days when Robertson came up against him playing for Dundee United.

The Dutchman thought so highly of him he told the Celtic scouts to sign Andy back in 2013.

”When I came to Celtic, in my first season he played at Dundee United and I already thought he’s a very good player and I thought at that time he should join Celtic!

“I think I said it to one of the scouting guys as well – sometimes I like to give my opinion on players. He’s just a great player, – works hard. If you need ratings of a game, I don’t think he’d ever go lower than a six.

Celtic briefly flirted with the idea of signing Andy while he was at Dundee united.

However, Celtic had Emilio Izaguirre at the time who was in fine form.

Had Celtic signed Andy at the time it could have meant Kieran Tierney not getting his chance and I’m not sure anyone would be in favour of that.
