SCOTT BROWN is currently enjoying his testimonial season at Celtic after ten years with the club.
The Celtic midfielder has been at the forefront of Celtic’s title tilts in that time and played under five managers.
However, ten years ago it wasn’t set in stone that he would become a Celtic Legend. In-fact former Rangers player Derek Johnstone declared that Scott Brown would sign for Rangers along with Kevin Thomson at the time and that a deal had been done.
This prompted Gers fans to chant Scott Brown’s name on the terraces in anticipation of the move. The only thing was – he already agreed to sign for Celtic.
Derek Johnstone mugged his support off and it wouldn’t be the last time.
