Former Celtic striker Odsonne Édouard is poised to leave Crystal Palace ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.
Reports from RMC Sport say the 27-year-old is in France for a medical ahead of signing a three-year contract with RC Lens, in a deal worth around €5 million.
Since joining Palace in 2021, Édouard’s progress has stalled, his loan to Leicester last season had few opportunities or impact.
It seems Palace are ready to part ways, with Lens now emerging as the clear option for a fresh start.
For Lens, bringing in a striker with Édouard’s instincts and movement offers a valuable boost as they target league consistency and European qualification. The chance to add a proven finisher could deepen their attacking threat substantially.
Celtic fans will likely keep an eye on his progress too. Although a return feels unlikely, his progress in France could well circle back to Glasgow.

Meanwhile, Celtic themselves remain very much active on deadline day. Adam Idah is set to complete his exit to Swansea City in a deal reported at around £6 million, with the player already undergoing a second medical.
Brendan Rodgers has made clear Idah will only depart once a replacement is in place, with Kasper Dolberg currently viewed as the leading candidate to step in at Parkhead.
