Celtic are continuing their summer recruitment drive and have reportedly identified Flávio Nazinho as a target to strengthen their options at left-back ahead of the new season.
The 21-year-old Portugal U21 international currently plays for Cercle Brugge in Belgium, where he made 39 appearances across all competitions last season. Nazinho came through the ranks at Sporting Lisbon before making a permanent move to Brugge last summer for a €1 million fee and his progress has attracted attention across Europe.
Portuguese outlet Record claim Celtic are among several clubs showing interest in the highly-rated defender. His blend of defensive discipline and attacking intent has earned praise, and he featured prominently for Portugal during the UEFA U21 European Championship this summer.
Celtic have already brought Kieran Tierney back to the club this summer, but with Greg Taylor’s departure and Hayato Inamura potentially leaving on loan, reinforcements on the left remain a priority. Tierney is still working his way back to full fitness, and Brendan Rodgers is keen to ensure depth and competition across key positions.

Nazinho is also being tracked by Roma and Real Sociedad, but reports suggest Cercle Brugge may be open to offers due to financial pressures. That could give Celtic the opportunity to move quickly and secure a deal.
With Champions League qualifiers fast approaching, the Hoops are expected to remain active in the transfer market. Nazinho fits the profile of a young, dynamic player who could make an impact now while offering long-term potential.
