Celtic continued their pre-season preparations at Lennoxtown over the weekend with a host of senior players joining the squad ahead of Tuesday night’s friendly against Cork City.
Following Friday night’s 1-0 win over Queen’s Park, Brendan Rodgers welcomed back several key first-team figures to training, including returning full-back Kieran Tierney and new signing Hayato Inamura, who watched the match from the stands.
Daizen Maeda, James Forrest, Reo Hatate, Anthony Ralston and Liam Scales were all involved, as were attacking reinforcements Adam Idah, Benjamin Nygren and young striker Callum Osmand, in photos captured by SNS. Marco Tilio and Kwon Hyeok-kyu also took part, both looking to make an impression this pre-season after loans away from the club last season last term.
Finnish goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo, who impressed during a brief first-team run last season, was also back in training after an extended break.
The session still featured a number of youth prospects who played against Queen’s Park, with Brendan Rodgers continuing to monitor the next generation closely. The blend of youth and experience will be key again on Tuesday, with the Celtic manager expected to rotate heavily during the trip to Ireland.

With more international players filtering back and a behind-closed-doors match against Estrela da Amadora to follow at the weekend, Celtic’s pre-season programme is now in full swing.
