The move is expected to be finalised this week, ending Lagerbielke’s two-year stay at Parkhead, one of which was spent out on loan.
Signed from Elfsborg in the summer of 2023, Lagerbielke made a handful of appearances but struggled for regular minutes under Brendan Rodgers.
Meanwhile, Celtic are working on bringing in a replacement. Dutch centre-back Justin de Haas has emerged as a key target, with the Hoops eyeing competition for Liam Scales and Auston Trusty to partner Cameron Carter-Vickers at the heart of defence.
Rodgers has already confirmed the club will look to bring another defender in, with Maik Nawrocki also leaving the club this summer, with a loan move to Hannover 96 completed over the weekend.
The backline reshuffle continues as Celtic look to add depth and reliability ahead of their Champions League qualifiers and domestic challenges.
