It’s not clear the renewal rates, but there were a few lucky fans on the waiting list that got the chance to get their hands on a season ticket.

The first match included on the season book will be Celtic’s Premiership opener against St Mirren at Celtic Park on Sunday, August 3, with a 4.30pm kick-off. As in previous years, the season ticket does not include summer friendlies, and that decision has stirred a mixed response among supporters.

Some fans have opted not to purchase tickets for the pre-season clash against Newcastle United, with the price point of £25 proving unpopular. As a result, Newcastle have been allocated over 10,000 tickets for the Parkhead showdown later this summer.

Despite that backlash, demand for season books has remained sky high, with the club continuing to benefit from the unwavering backing of the support. Celtic are aiming to defend their Premiership crown for a fifth successive season, with Brendan Rodgers determined to add further domestic silverware and progress in Europe.

With a packed fixture list on the horizon, including Champions League qualifiers and domestic cup challenges, another thrilling campaign awaits the sold-out home support.
