The 27-year-old left-back is expected to finalise the paperwork on a three-year deal with the Super League outfit today, with an official announcement from PAOK due within the next 24 hours, reports Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph.

He arrived in Greece yesterday.

Taylor’s departure brings to a close a six-year stint at Parkhead, where he established himself as a reliable presence on the left flank. Initially arriving from Kilmarnock in 2019, Taylor went on to make over 170 appearances for the Hoops, playing a key role in several title-winning campaigns.

While Taylor had been expected to move earlier in the window, his transfer to Thessaloniki experienced minor delays amid interest from other European clubs, including FC Copenhagen. Ultimately, the defender has opted for PAOK, where he will join a side regularly competing in Europe and aiming to dethrone Olympiacos and Panathinaikos domestically.

With Kieran Tierney already back in the building, Brendan Rodgers is now set to go into the new campaign with a new-look left side. Taylor leaves as a five-time Premiership winner, with multiple League Cup and Scottish Cup winners’ medals.

He was like Marmite amongst the support, but he was someone that Brendan Rodgers rated highly, and it will be a huge loss to the left side.
