Celtic remain in active discussions with Belgian winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha as the club look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

The 24-year-old is reportedly keen on making the move to Glasgow, with talks progressing positively in recent days. Balikwisha, who currently plies his trade with Royal Antwerp, has been on Celtic’s radar for some time and has long been considered a player of serious potential.

Reports have suggested that the player could be available for a cut-fee.
Despite an injury-disrupted season, the wide man still managed to contribute with seven goal involvements across just 18 appearances, the majority of which came in the latter half of the campaign.
Celtic’s interest has remained steady since last summer, and with Balikwisha entering the final year of his deal, Antwerp are now more open to a sale to avoid losing the player for free. The winger would offer Brendan Rodgers a different option on the left flank – quick, direct, and capable of unlocking defences both as a creator and finisher.
The Hoops are expected to press ahead in their pursuit. Balikwisha’s desire to join Celtic and play European football could be a decisive factor in getting a deal over the line.
