Yang Hyun-jun has made an emotional return to his former club Gangwon FC today, marking a special moment in his career with a visit to the side where it all began.
The Celtic winger, currently back in South Korea during the off-season, was at Chuncheon Songam Stadium as Gangwon hosted league leaders Jeonbuk.
Yang was in the stands and shared a glimpse of his visit on social media, as he took in the K League 1 clash that ultimately ended in disappointment for his old side.

Gangwon fell to a 3-0 defeat against a strong Jeonbuk team, a side Celtic fans may remember from links with striker Cho Gue-sung, now with Midtjylland in Denmark, where he netted 12 league goals this season.
Despite the result, the day was more about the occasion than the scoreline. Yang’s visit included a signing session with fans before kick-off and a special appearance on the pitch at half-time, where he received a warm reception from the Gangwon faithful.
This marks the second time the 23-year-old has returned to his boyhood club since his move to Celtic in the summer of 2023. His connection with Gangwon clearly remains strong, with the visit showing a continued respect and affection for the team that gave him his start in professional football.
