Celtic have been urged to explore a move for Evan Ferguson, as the young striker looks to get his career back on track.
The Ireland forward has endured a frustrating period after bursting onto the scene with Brighton, and a move to Glasgow is being touted as a potential lifeline.

Ferguson’s rise was rapid after making his breakthrough with Brighton in 2022, but the last two seasons have seen his progress stall.
Once hailed as one of the top young prospects in European football, the 20-year-old has struggled for form and game time on the south coast.
Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrímsson also touched on the striker’s current mindset during international duty, revealing Ferguson’s hunger to turn things around.
He said: (RecordSport), “I think it’s a good window for him, to be honest. When I called him, he said he’s fit, ‘I’m fit, I’m OK, I’m ready’.
“I would be unhappy if he wasn’t unhappy with the current situation — the limited playing time. He’d like to prove a point, that’s the issue as well. It’s good to see for us.”
With Celtic looking to bolster the attack this summer, Ferguson’s name has naturally entered the conversation. The club are expected to freshen up the forward line ahead of the new campaign, with Brendan Rodgers keen to add greater depth.

Ferguson, even with his recent problems, still has the natural talent that made him stand out in Europe two years ago. He’s strong, moves well, and knows how to score, even though his confidence has taken a hit.
A move to Celtic would offer Ferguson the chance to play regular football in a side that creates plenty of opportunities. The Scottish Premiership and European football could provide the perfect platform to rebuild his reputation and rediscover his goalscoring form.
Whether Celtic choose to make a move remains to be seen, but the possibility of Ferguson swapping the south coast for Glasgow is one that continues to generate interest as the transfer window opens.
