Adam Idah has made it clear he’s not fazed by the growing noise surrounding Celtic’s hunt for a new striker this summer. With question marks lingering over whether the club will finally replace Kyogo Furuhashi, who departed in January, Idah has responded strongly with confidence.
The Irish striker joined Celtic permanently last summer for £9 million and went on to hit 20 goals in his first full season at the club. Despite that return, opinion among the support remains split over whether he is the man to lead the line long term.

However, Idah isn’t losing sleep over any of it and instead pointed to the competition he’s faced in the past.
He said: (TCW), “I have had brilliant strikers, like Kyogo (Furuhashi) before, so it doesn’t bother me. I know myself. The club are probably going to sign a striker, so it makes no difference to me.
“I am still going to do my best for the team, and hopefully, have another good season.”
Celtic currently have Idah, Daizen Maeda, and Johnny Kenny as recognised strikers. However, Maeda has often played out wide, while Kenny has yet to truly prove himself week in, week out, with another forward option desperately needed this summer.

The lack of a direct Kyogo replacement in January left Brendan Rodgers light up front towards the end of the season, despite Daizen Maeda’s incredible efforts to fill the void, doing so admirably.
Another option is still needed to add extra quality and depth. With Champions League qualifiers on the horizon and domestic titles to defend, adding firepower remains a key focus for the summer transfer window.
