The London club are now eyeing a move for the 23-year-old, who is already attracting serious interest from Eintracht Frankfurt. This means Celtic now face competition from both the Bundesliga and the Premier League as they look to bring in a new frontman ahead of the summer window.
Kvistgaarden had an impressive season, scoring 23 goals and setting up 6 more in 37 games. Celtic have been tracking him for the last two years and tried to sign him in January after Kyogo moved to Rennes. That deal didn’t happen at the time, but the club have stayed interested and are expected to return with another attempt.
He plays with energy, presses well and knows how to score – all key traits Brendan Rodgers wants in his main striker.
So far, no official bids have been made. Brøndby’s manager has confirmed that while interest is there, nothing formal has landed yet. Still, Kvistgaarden appeared to say goodbye to the fans after their final game, suggesting he expects a move soon.
Celtic’s current striker options include Daizen Maeda, Adam Idah and Johnny Kenny. Kvistgaarden would add proven quality and help fill the gap left by Kyogo. With West Ham now circling, Celtic know they’ll need to move quickly if they want to win this race.
