Joe Hart has paid tribute to his former Celtic teammate James Forrest after the winger scored in the 1-1 draw with St Mirren on trophy day at Celtic Park this afternoon.

The winger came off the bench to grab his first goal of the season, making it 16 straight seasons he’s scored for the Hoops. It’s a remarkable run that speaks to his consistency and longevity at the club.
After the match, former Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart took to Instagram to show his appreciation. Posting a video of Forrest celebrating, he simply wrote: “What a man💚💚💚💚💚💚 .” The two were teammates from 2021 until Hart’s retirement in 2024, and the respect between them was clear in that message.

Forrest’s strike was Celtic’s only goal of the game in a relaxed end-of-season league game that ended 1-1. The title was already secured, but the fans still had plenty to cheer as captain Callum McGregor and James Forrest lifted the Premiership trophy once again.

Forrest has been at the heart of Celtic for over a decade, and even now, he continues to deliver when called upon.
Hart’s tribute added a personal touch to a proud day for Forrest and the club. Though Hart has hung up his gloves, his connection to Celtic clearly remains strong, and his words showed just how highly Forrest is regarded by those who’ve played alongside him.
It was a fitting message on a day of celebration at Celtic Park.
