The 27-year-old, who came through the ranks at Parkhead, made only five senior appearances under Brendan Rodgers during his first spell as Celtic manager, having been converted from a striker to a left-back. Despite limited opportunities at Celtic, Miller has rebuilt his career further down the leagues and is now thriving as a winger under the guidance of John McGlynn.

McGlynn has been instrumental in getting the best out of Miller, who has been a pivotal part of the title-winning squad this season. The technical wide man contributed heavily down the stretch, with half of his league goals coming in the final eight games to help push his side over the line in the Championship title race.

Miller was also a finalist for the PFA Scotland second-tier award, but was narrowly pipped to that accolade by team-mate Brad Spencer. However, he has now been recognised with the William Hill sponsors’ prize as the Championship’s top performer.

The winger has been a consistent threat all season, scoring on both the opening day and final night of the campaign. His contributions included key strikes against major rivals like Dunfermline Athletic and Airdrieonians, with his form proving vital to his club’s push for promotion.

Miller was once viewed as a highly promising academy prospect. Now back playing in his natural wide attacking role, the former Celtic kid has found a home where his creativity and technical ability can shine.
