Revealed: Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup Final Ticket Allocation

Aberdeen have secured a bumper ticket allocation for the upcoming Scottish Cup final against Celtic next month, after agreeing to take financial responsibility for any unsold seats.

The Dons were initially handed 16,800 tickets for the Hampden showdown on May 24. However, after discussions with the SFA, they have now been granted an expanded allocation of over 20,000. This includes control of the North Stand up to the halfway line—an area traditionally split depending on demand.

This increase only came after Aberdeen committed to underwriting the cost of any unsold tickets, ensuring they bear the financial risk if fans don’t snap them all up. In return, the Dons secure their largest ticket allocation for a domestic final in recent years.

A club statement read:

This will be the largest allocation we have received for a final in recent years and was only secured after agreeing to underwrite the cost of any unsold tickets. We believe this significant allocation is a testament to our commitment to ensuring as many fans as possible can support the team at this crucial match, our first Scottish Cup final since 2017.

Celtic, by contrast, are expected to take up the remainder of the national stadium, with the Hoops support regularly filling their half for cup games at Hampden.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are aiming to cap off the campaign with silverware to seal a historic ninth treble, having already beaten Aberdeen twice in the league this season and boasting a strong record at Hampden.

The final represents a massive occasion for Celtic, chasing another treble under Rodgers, as they look to cap off a dominant season and secure their second Scottish Cup in as many years, while further cementing their status as Scotland’s top team.
