Alistair Johnston has accidentally revealed who he will be voting for as Celtic Player of the Year, after attempting to keep his vote a secret.
Who Johnston will be voting for won’t come as a surprise to most, but the Canadian himself could be in contention for Celtic Player of the Year.

He said: (Celtic FC), “I’ll keep it a secret for now. I’m curious to see who wins it as well, and I’ll see if I was right or not. Yes, we’ll see on that.
“I think it’s tough to look past Daizen. I think that gold record speaks for itself. You see the company he’s put himself into. I’m hearing some of the records that he’s breaking or equaling and some of the names he’s being compared to.
“It’s pretty impressive, so I think that’s tough to overlook. My guess is he is the frontrunner, and I think he’d be a very deserving winner.
“So hopefully, if it can be anyone, it would be Daizen. But yes, no, he definitely deserves it.”
Daizen Maeda does deserve Player of the Year, and it’s hilarious to see Johnston attempt to hide his vote before accidentally revealing it. It’s typical of him—he’s such a charismatic personality to speak to in the media, and this afternoon was clearly no different.
