The Green Brigade have this morning reiterated that today’s planned protest against the criminalisation of football fans will go ahead as scheduled.
Celtic supporters will gather outside London Road Police Station at 1:15pm—just hours before the Hoops kick off against Hearts at Celtic Park. The demonstration is part of a coordinated response from fan groups over what they describe as escalating repression and heavy-handed tactics from Police Scotland.

The protest, backed by the Celtic Supporters Association and a number of other high profile Celtic groups, comes off the back of the Glasgow Derby, where supporters say they were subjected to aggressive policing, including kettling and detentions under Section 60 powers.
Under the “Fans Against Criminalisation” banner, the organisers are urging all Celtic supporters—not just ultras—to stand together and send a unified message to the authorities: football fans will not accept harassment and criminalisation as part of their matchday experience.
The demonstration is expected to be peaceful, with calls for responsible behaviour while making voices heard.
Since the protest was first announced, Celtic have opened an independent investigation into the policing of the derby and have invited affected fans to come forward. The club has also initiated dialogue with Police Scotland to address how supporters are treated at high-profile fixtures.
With a capacity crowd expected for today’s 3pm kick-off against Hearts, fan groups are hoping for a strong and visible show of unity outside the police station.
